Pawsome Kingdoms was created after the sudden passing of Laura's dog, Leona. She had always had a delicate health and needed of lots of special care, medication, assistance and general attention. She was the inspiration for the future goals and ambitions that would led Laura to move to UK in 2018 searching for a new life focused in the animal care and welfare.
Leona died in 2023 of a cardiac arrest in Laura's arms which left her with an emptiness and anxiety that couldn't get rid off, and eventually did quit her job as part of management at Tampopo, at the Trafford Centre.
During her first years in England, Laura studied variety of courses related to the wellbeing of all types of animals, hoping one day to start her journey in the veterinary industry. From Animal Care Level 2 to a Level 3 in Canine Hydrotherapy, experience in Aquariums, doggy day cares and veterinary practices, Laura finally got a place in Reaseheath to start her BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing, looking at developing in multi-species physiotherapy and opening her own rehabilitation clinic.
That was the initial plan...
Leona left Laura with a space in her heart that was bigger than before. She needed to fill that up, to seal it. "To get over it".
She decided to jump to the abyss and create a company from scratch. Pawsome Kingdoms was born.
Laura's values and ethics are based in the way her bond with Leona was built: Trust, Respect, Safety, Comfort and Understanding.
Pawsome Kingdoms would prioritise the uniqueness and individuality of each of the pets that came along. A few months after this, Laura found herself overwhelmed with the amount of bookings and enquiries she was getting whilst being a sole trader.
Her partner, a financial analyst and huge animal lover, Matt, came to help and joined the Pawsome Kingdoms family. He would become Uncle Matt for all little ones.
They thought they had everything under control, but it ended up being worse than before as now Matt was getting fully booked, and Laura was not able to help as she was ALSO fully booked. She realised this was a big thing and couldn't lose control or let the robe loose. She needed to use this in her benefit and the benefit of all little ones that needed a Pawsome Sitter.
Laura contacted an old friend that she used to work with, Cam, she asked him if he was available for a chat to talk about Pawsome Kingdoms hoping he would be interested enough to join. HE WAS!
Cam soon became Uncle Cam, and within a few weeks he started getting a huge amount of enquiries. His development from volunteer in doggy day cares to manager, and his understanding in canine and feline behaviour was going to be useful during this journey. He hopes to finish his Level 3 in Zoology in a few years, whilst keeping himself surrounded by animals in the meantime.
This is us, this is Pawsome Kingdoms.
How do we work?
All enquiries lead you to a face-to-face Meet&Greet with one of our Pawsome Sitters. We will discuss with you our experience and our policies whilst the little ones get to have a cheeky sniff.
*Note: A reservation fee is required to secure all bookings which cost is over £200, and this deposit must be transferred with the return of all contracts and forms. If after seven days since the forms are sent, we have not heard from you your dates will be open to new enquiries, therefore we will not be able to guarantee our services looking after your pet(s).
For bookings which cost do not go over £200 we offer the following options:
During the booking we would be clocking IN and OUT every time we leave your home or arrive to it. We would be sharing our GPS Live Tracking location for you to see where we are during visits or homestays. This would only be stopped for GDPR reasons if we were to visit another pet and viceversa.
We don't mind working with a CCTV system in place, but in compliance with the GDPR regulations, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Data Protection Act 2018, we require you to inform us of the locations of all cameras in your property and their type of setting (Live or Recording), as well as if these have a voice setting active.
We would be sending you behavioural reports throughout the day, and millions MILLIONS millions of photos and videos of your furbabies.
At the end of the booking we will be ensuring your house was as clean as we welcomed it, and anything used/eaten in the event of an emergency would be replenished for your return.
We are open 24h and available when you need us, we only ask you to bear with us in getting back to you as we have other commitments during the day that can delay our reply.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Pawsome Kingdoms
These are our rates:
- 30min visit/walk £15
- 1h visit/walk £20
- 24h Flexible £70 (dogs can be left on their own in periods of time for work, shopping, checking other pets)
- 24h Special Care £100 (dogs to have us in the house 24h exclusively with them - normally for SSA animals, medications, health conditions, disabilities, etc. That require a fulltime carer)
We always do a Meet&Greet at our clients place beforehand so that owners have the opportunity to discuss it all with us, and pets have the opportunity of sniffing and wandering around us within a safe environment during the first contact. This meet up is free from charge and normally lasts between 45min-1h😊.
All bookings are secured with a contract and we send invoices after each transfer. We offer payment plans to adapt to your affordability too ☺️.
We have worked with cameras and with no cameras, whichever you prefer is okay. But you would also be getting our GPS Live Tracking location during the entirety of your booking so that you get to see where we are at all times. We would only stop sharing if we visit another pet for GDPR reasons, as well as we would be clocking in and out when arriving to yours or leaving. Photos and videos are a must😍 and morning/noon/evening behavioural reports would be sent to you everyday so that you get to know how they have been doing overnight, if they are eating everything, if they are being naughty👀 or if we have spotted an anxious behaviour we would work through it with your pet and would keep you informed on how they are evolving🐾
