About Pawsome!
I'm a life-long cat and dog owner, and a pet sitter since 2018; I've also been a dog walker pretty much all my adult life (I was born in 1969, so that's a long time)! A recent member of NARPSUK, I have full certificates from their courses and am also DBS checked and fully insured. My ethos is very much that all animals deserve love and care, and I am always respectful of owner's instructions (and obviously their homes when I'm sitting). Having received excellent feedback from sits done through another platform, I am widening my services.
Just a few of the animals I'm eperienced in giving care for: -
- Pedigree cats (Bengals, Ragdolls, Maine Coones, Chausies, Siamese) and lots and lots of lovely moggies.
- Collies, Shitzhus, Hungarian Vizlas, German Shepherds, Cavapoos, Cockerpoos, Cocker Spaniels, Husky-Vislas, lots and lots of Labradors and Retrievers, Jack Russells, Mini-Dachshunds, Pugs and many, many fab Heinz 57s.
- Rescued Dartmoor Ponies, Donkeys, Rescued Billy Goats, Sheep, Hens, Cockerels, Runner Ducks, Bearded Dragons, Tortoise, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits and even a Quail!
I have a love of the outdoors and can regularly be found hiking (usually with dogs), open-water swimming, jogging, bike riding (road, gravel and MTB) and sometimes just sitting to watch the world go by. In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I'm keen to offer days out for dogs (seaside, country parks etc) and maybe even some camping trips with me in my camper van. More recently, I have discovered a love for the gym, though definitely not the yoga classes. I have a grown-up daughter, currently at Edinburgh Uni, and am married to Adrian, ex Olympic and Tour de France bike rider, who stays home to look after my fur babies when I go away to sit. Alongside my pet sitting and dog walking, I've also been an English Teacher (giving that up after 23 years), but prior to that, I did all sorts of things, including care work, retail and more domestic work.
Life is fun anyway, but it's even better with pets!!!

Pet Sitting - inclusive of at least two walks per day for dogs, and always of general house cleaning
Cats Per Night - £28 (up to 3 cats with litter trays to clean)
Dogs Per Night - £45 to £65 - dependent upon number of, and type of, pets, how they need walking etc.
Farm animals - cost to be discussed.
Doggy Day Care - inclusive of at least two walks*
Per Day - £28, or two dogs from same household - £40
Dog Boarding - inclusive of at least two walks*
Per Night - £38, or two dogs from same household - £60
Cat Drop-Ins - inclusive of spending at least 30 minutes with cat
Per Visit - £8 - £12, depending on travel distance
Days Out for Dogs - these are aimed at dogs needing extensive exercise and are likely to appeal to owners whose circumstances may have changed, leaving them less able to give their dogs the exercise they need
Prices to be released when days out are organised (coast, country parks etc, with potential for some camping and hiking trips planned!).
* Please note that I am awaiting local authority licence and cannot offer this service until I have received this.

Barton under Needwood, Anslow, Burton upon Trent, Walton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Rosliston, Coton in the Elms, Marchington, Yoxall, Kings Bromley, Abbots Bromley, Lichfield, Etwall, Rugeley, Handsacre, Armitage and surrounding areas.
Pet Sitting*
As above; however, I may cover locations further afield at certain times of the year, so please do enquire.
*Please note that when dog sitting, I will not leave a dog alone for more than a few hours at a time. Sitting includes general cleaning of owner's home and fresh bedding will be put on ready for owner's return.
Please note that I cover weekends as well as week days.
